With less sugar than jams and jellies, fruit butters are a focus on the fruit they are made with. The process of making fruit butters involves cooking the fruit so the water evaporates until you have a wonderful, thick fruit mixture. No pectin is added to thicken butters. We add just a touch of spices to enhance, but not overpower, the taste of the fruit.
Note: Health experts recommend that you do not feed honey to infants under one year of age.
p.s - The fruit butters may no longer have bonnets on the jar.
